what do most people do in summer, turn outlet on apex off or just unplug heater. Live in AZ so will never hit 77 very soon, was 95 today

I got the Finnex heaters that only pop on when it goes lower than set temp. Luckily, in California that is rare during summer. My ac kicks on when below 74, and tank stays a nice 78-79 all summer long.

Can turn the heater thermostat down and then set a lower temp on the apex. If tank still stays warm can try adding a fan on another outlet.

I turn the heater down and set the APEX lower even though I set the AC to 72 in the house the heat in the tank goes higher than 78 so I have fans running

I live in south Texas. Heaters gets pulled out of sump for most of the year. No use of letting it sit there with stuff growing on it. My concern is more on the tank getting too hot end of the spectrum.

Chillers for the lot of you! Floridians too! :p

am i missing something ?? the heater turns on when needed, so if not needed it won't turn on.
why force it off ??

Heaters are a wild card was thinking more people would just turn off outlet, first apex so not sure if turning off or pulling plug

Ahh, I live in Minnesota , but I keep the house 70 or 72 in the summer . Sounds nice to not use heaters. Lol.

Heaters with good programing,, and a controller in line as well between say the apex and heater, it should only not heat, since there are a few lines of defense for staying on
Inkbird finnex, ranco, or others, heck, many just use the Heaters tstat to prevent overheat, but less reliable.

So at night your house/tank is 77 or higher? Sounds warm, but we get use to what we get use to
