Hi everyone,
I was looking into getting a 6gal pico and was wondering if this heater would work for saltwater. It’s a reef casa 6 gal mantis shrimp tank btw

TIA :)

If you can find one, a high quality 25W Titanium Heater with a controller is the route I'd go. Absolutely DO NOT get a low quality heater. It has a major role to play in maintaining your ecosystem.

I'll take a look around and see what I can come up with. Need to get on my computer tho. I've got old man hands!

But I  can tell ya that when I get my tank up and running I'll be using 2 heaters for redundancy. AND I'll be swapping them out prior to the warranty running out for new ones, before they break. That's how important I consider them. Your pico won't support redundancy tho. Not a lot of room in a Pico......

You want to go with a 25 watt for a 6 gallon tank, not 75. Don't get a glass one, get something unbreakable. Titanium is the best. Buy two of them, stick the spare with your tank stuff for when the one your using dies, because it probably will. Consider a heater controller like an Inkbird. Great peace of mind for a small investment.
