hey reefer question about the
Eheim Jager TruTemp 300 Watt Fully Submersible UL Approved Heater I have a Red Sea 425 totally system is 112 gallons is the 300 watt to much for the tank or should I be good on the 300 and should I put it next to my return pump in the sump?

300w would be fine, but I would recommend going with two 150w heaters instead. And an Inkbird temperature controller would be ideal. Placing the heater in any area with good flow will be sufficient.

I personally would also go with 2 x 150w and then you have redundancy in case of one of them failing, and also less power to overheat the tank if the big one fails ‘on’ albeit unlikely

I’ve got 2 x 200w Eheim ‘s in my system connected to an aqua medic temperature controller and then finally controlled by Apex for a final switch off in the event of overheating

You can put it anywhere with good flow

I agree with all statements above.
Placement anywhere in good flow area.
Getting 2 or 3 heaters compared to just 1 backed by a controller will be the best strategy.
