Heater Question.

So I have a IM Nuvo 30 Gallon long and my question is can I use my 300 watt finnex heater I have leftover from a different tank? It does fit in the second chamber. I know it's a bit Overkill but any reason why I shouldn't use a heater that size. It will be hook into my Apex .

That is a lot of wattage for a small tank. Can you, yes. Would I be concerned with cooking my tank if it stuck, yes.

If you are going to control it with your Apex then that will protect against cooking your tank. Just set the heater off just > the Apex off temperature as a backup in case the Apex left it on.
