Heater?

Hi, I’m getting a heater as the one I have isn’t cutting it. What heater would you recommend for a 20 gallon?

High failure rate on these. I had 2 fail within a year or two. Too many negative reviews of the same sort on the typical sites.

My go to on smaller tanks is a decent glass tube heater run with a reliable-ish external thermostat like the non-wifi Inkbird.

The problem with an electronic heater is that it will fail 'off' as often as 'on', and so a thermostat won't help in half the cases. A glass tube heater set on max temp will likely fail 'on', which is what we want anyway. Glass tube heaters are also a lot less expensive (Eheim is half the price of a Cobalt).

I use an Eheim and the non-wifi Inkbird to control it. I have two like this that replaced the Cobalts that failed.
