The best of 2019. I use Titanium heaters and use the two heater method.

You can control any heater with your Apex....the Apex just controls whether the outlet is on or off. That being said, I would pick up any titanium heater you can find. I pretty much consider heaters disposable.....I have had the most expensive break as well as the cheap ones.

I just ordered 2 150w reef octopus titanium heaters for my 70, they are heater only no thermostat so need a controller. I figured I was going to use a external controller so one less thing to fail by ordering elements only, and using 2 in case one fails I should notice before a major issue.

i have a 300 watt finnex titanium heater i had it on my 120 and workd great but this will be a sps dominat so dont want any sudden changes so not sure if it will cut it
