Only if the water drains out of your overflow box or falls below the portion of the heater that needs to be immersed.Running out of room in my sump and need to move my heater, anyone see a problem with putting it in it the overflow box?
I’ve never had that problem so sounds like it should be fine then. Appreciate it.Only if the water drains out of your overflow box or falls below the portion of the heater that needs to be immersed.
You will probably want to check on it more frequently than you did when in the sump as it's now placed pre-filter as opposed to post-filter (and will accumulate more algae, detritus, etc.)I’ve never had that problem so sounds like it should be fine then. Appreciate it.
Ah ok so maybe sone more maintenance than before. Only other option is inside the tank and I really do t want that. You will probably want to check on it more frequently than you did when in the sump as it's now placed pre-filter as opposed to post-filter (and will accumulate more algae, detritus, etc.)
You'll have the same issue with algae growth (etc.) - just not the water level issue.Ah ok so maybe sone more maintenance than before. Only other option is inside the tank and I really do t want that.
Yeah true and at least in overflow it’s not taking away from the look of the tank. You'll have the same issue with algae growth (etc.) - just not the water level issue.
