Hey all,
I have been building a 75 gallon and have gotten to the point of considering heaters.

I have a 300w aqueon that came with the tank used. I have only ever used Eheims and think I should continue using them.

I will be running an inkbird and dual heaters for redundancy. I was recommended a 150W for the 75 but since I want to do duals, should I do two 125W?

What do you recommend?

Eheim if you can fit them. I’ve always gone back to them. But they are long…

I also have some size constraints so perhaps an eheim may not be the best choice for me. Finnex seems to make some highly regarded heaters that are shorter. Thoughts?
I’ve been using finnex for the last 3 yrs and their fine . Eheim are better but as long as you have on a inkbird the finnex are fine .

I'm not the one to ask, lol. I buy cheap, preset no name heaters used with a controller that I swap out every few years. If I'm gonna buy a brand its usually Aqueon anymore.

I absloutely hate the length of eheims and didnt have great experiences with them.

Yeah, I love eheims. I literally just cut out my sump baffle and moved it 4” so i could fit them. Took me between reading your post, seeing how long a 150w is, a razor blade, and some silicone lol

If price is not an issue Cobalt heaters are the best in my experience at keeping steady temp. Mine set at 78 keeps 78. Shattered proof, all black and is flat no glass. I run fluval and ehiem jager in my fresh water systems. All three brands are reliable imho.
