What heaters do you use for a large tank 240 and better?
i cant seem to find heaters that can efficiently handle a large tank

I use multiple 500w titanium heating tubes. When one tube fails, I "eventually" can tell because the tank struggles to stay at target temperature. I feel that these titanium heaters are a consumable since they only last a few years, sometimes only one season.

My water volume was approximately 300g (180g + 102g tied to a 75g basement sump).

what brand do you use? i dont wanna be spending $400 on heaters every winter thats pricey!

I've used a bunch of brands, from Finnex to Aqua Medic to JBJ.
In the last few years though, I've been using the ones from Jehmco (came upon these since I buy my frozen Mysis from them) and they have faired better then the above brands for longevity but they still do fail.

I ran three 250 eheim jagers on my 450G system for 10 years and replaced them with three 300 watt eheim jagers only becasue the first set was ten years old. I use a controller for them. My 150G sump, 90G and 35G frag tanks are all in a remote unheated room on the back of my house. When temps outside drop to 32F in the winter I use a space heater to help the room temps stay up but for the other 11 1/2 months a year the 900 watts does the job just fine. With the apex I have them staggered so most often only one comes on. When demand requires then heater 2 and/or 3 will come on depending on outside temps.

You could just get a Heater Controller like a inkbird and connect two or three 300W Eheim Jagers and that should do the trick.

EBJ or Finnex on my 700 gallon system. I'd steer clear of the inkbirds, all of mine drift. I use a combo of apex and ranco.
