So I am wanting to put two heaters in my Reefer 750. The second will be more of a backup set up at a degree cooler. My question for all the people with 750s is where did you put your heaters? I was planning on putting both of them in the refugium part of the sump but wanted some people’s opinions.

Where ever you decide putting your heaters make sure its not in the same area as your temp probe is at if you are using any.

I use 4-6 heaters per tank... larger tanks and low humidity require a lot of heaters. Return section of the sump, then one in the tank. Probe in the tank, not the sump. This way, if I lose a return pump, the tank can stay kinda warm and the flow pumps can keep the water moving... no crashes. That one heater and the flow pumps are on one circuit and the return pump and other heaters and on another.

I have my 800w heater in the very first chamber with the drain pipes. This way I can keep it vertical, it always stays submerged, and there is high water flow to distribute the heat.
