I started with an aqueon. Worked fine for a few weeks and then temp decided it was going to be about 7 degrees off. Bought a cobalt easy therm. That thing just kept hearing up. I started it at 77. Left it for a few and then logged into my app and it was 81. I checked the tank and the heater light was still on. Now I am on to a fluval and it seems to be about 4 degrees off. Have it 81 and it holds at 77. Light only comes on when it starts to drop below 77. I have 2 thermometers in the tank. One digital and one suction cup style. I am losing my mind trying to find a heater that actual reads correctly.

I have 2 x 500W Finnex titanium heaters on an Inkbird controller. Gives me redundancy and the ability to calibrate the thermometer. Keeps my temp between 77.5 and 78.5.

Ehiem Jager here too. If you want a heater the lowerest chances of failure then an Ehiem on a controller imo is the best option.

Ive got an ehiem to on a controller so it stays a constant temp and not bouncing up and down turing on off continously wearing our the switch in the heater
