Heaters

Looking at the BRS website, the eheim jager heaters, for example, call for 250w. The general consensus is to run 2 smaller heaters rather than 1 big one the help protect against over heating.

Find the brand you like and check the ratings to make sure.

Depends, heaters have different ratings.

Set up two for fault tolerance...

So do you guys think 2 200w would do it? I planned on having 2 but wasn't sure if I needed 2 300w or if lesser would hear the whole tank. It will be about 150gallon total water volume.

I would go with 2-300 watts. I have basically the same setup and I can't get two of the eheim ones to heat the tank. Granted they are telling me that they are broken.
