My foxface stung me the other day so he's gonna be a trade in. The wife is worried about my son getting stung. He likes to feed the fish and that's when old "spike" let's to get crazy! Lol.

Wow! I never knew a fox face will sting you! But I agree, better safe then sorry. I had a voltin lionfish that stung my daughter. It hurt pretty bad.

It is supposedly worse than a lionfish I hear but wasn't bad for me. People also say the adult fish poison is not as strong as juvenile. This wasn't bad at all but it was on me not a toddler. I'm pretty thick skinned.

My lion was fairly young. His body (not the long fins) was about 3.5". She was about 12 at the time. She fell to the floor saying/crying she felt like every inch of her was being crushed. The fish died a few days later from infection. This is common after stinging a human if the barb gets a piece of skin on it. I don't know if this works for fox face stings but treatment from lion stings is to hold the stung area under as hot water as you can stand for 30 minutes.

Yah that's what I read. It honestly felt like I got electrocuted when he hit me and than like a bee sting that kinda radiated up my arm. I didn't do anything to it because it really didn't bother me. I am a welder and deal with pain very well though lol.

So now the question is what do I get now! Do I grab some sort off reef possible angel? I really like both the rosey scale and orange back wrasse's. But idk if that's 2 many. I have 3 already. Idk about 5 wrasse's.

Hmmmm, good questions. I have a coral beauty and he's well behaved. Though, idk if i would trust him with clams if you ever want to get one.
