I finally bought some red sea test kits. My numbers are a bit higher than what my lfs was getting. 11.6 alk 480 CA 1320 MG. I think. The MG one was my first attempt lol. Anyways numbers are up there we shall see how long they stay up.

If you bring up your mag to 1350- 1360 your ca should balance down about 440-450. You Ca is just a tad high. Red Sea is much much more accurate than lfs api lol

I messed up my first mg test too. The key is to make sure you wait at least 60 seconds before dripping the test solution in and only lightly swirl it. You will see it "flash" to blue then it quickly goes to more purple before turning blue again. The flash point is your number. This is what red sea told me.

Hmm maybe change lighting and flow I keep mine in medium light medium flow and are doing well

Pretty much. The edges have a tiny bit of white ish blue. Should be white red orange. Idk. Gonna move it into more light and see if it gains some colors.

I'm running leds so this may be the issue I hear people talking about leds and acans not being best.
