Hello

Can you guys tell me if 42W is good enough?
I see on apex that it has a hard time to rise the temperature.
Temp sensor in the tank .
Heather in the back , by return pomp

Thank you

depends on temp of room to a certain extent-but generally you want three to five watts of heater rating for each gallon of water. That being said, I have a tank where the heater is about 2 watts per gallon-but the room is warm and heater is used for consistency of temperature, not raising it. I have a tank in a cold room that has 8 watts per gallon-which keeps tank warm in a 65 degree room-but if it fails in the on position- the tank will overheat if not caught in time.

Thank you,
so I can tell, that my heather is underpowered,
the temp is 75.9 right now, I increased the thermostat on heater to 82 ( just because it is in small pomp compartmetn) but the apex temp probe is in the tank, so the heater would stop sooner,
I set the apex outlet to stop at 80 and start at 78, it should be a good.

I am in CAli, winter is not bad here, but my room is usually cold, I dont use heather upstairs, so my room is usually cold.

thank you again
