Heating my tank?

I have a Fluval m40 and a finnex 50 watt heater and I can't get the tank above 74 degrees. I've tried putting the heater in my last chamber and DT with now Joy. Any pointers maybe getting a top for it might work?

How cold is the room the tank is in? A 50W heater should be enough to heat a 14 gallon tank in a 70 degree room.

Idk, I use a 100w for my 10g but it should still be heating

Plus I know the temp probe works because I tested it with some water I knew the temp of and it show me almost exactly the temp of the water and even shut off like it was suppose to

Heaters poop, I tested it again and it won't turn on, I wonder if I can wire the controller into another heater, I really like my finnex heater controller
