Heavy Tissue damage to hammer coral need advice.

Newbie mistake probably but i wanted to move my hammer coral and that involved breaking it off the rock it was glued on. When the glue came loose the coral jammed into my hand and took heavy damage to its tenticals. lots of bits were floating in the tank and have since been neted out, The base polyps look to be in tackt. Is it a gonner and bound to get brown jelly? Any advice is welcome.

Just monitor it and make sure it is getting some low, random flow to prevent BjD or any other bacterial infections.
I wouldn't lose hope as of yet.

Do I need to worry about my other corals and fish from toxins released in the water?

Nothing Carbon couldn't take care of.

If you aren't running GAC then maybe you should just for extra measure.

Im running carbon so ill just be sure to change that in a few days.
