Good morning has anyone used Herbtana in their tanks as an Ich or parasite treatment or as just a supplement for fish health ? Thanks in advance.

My LFS uses both Herbtana & Artemiss in all their tanks, and I must say I never see disease on any of their fish. Not saying it's not there, but it is likely being managed well by those herbal remedies. The downside is you basically have to use them forever. o_O

The LFS owner also gives all new fish a Paraguard bath upon arrival. I cannot say what benefits using all those products offers, because they haven't been thoroughly studied & tested like the proven methods for eradicating diseases in fish.

Following along, as I have heard of a couple people using it. One of the people on here that sells fish/wrasses uses it, I'm just forgetting who it was at the moment.

The guys in our freshwater department really like it and use it often. I've never used it for saltwater.

Wasn't going by amazon the label says Reef and Marine on the bottle

Yes and we carry both kinds at the store. But like I said... I've never used it on our saltwater fish. The freshwater guys have on theirs and like it well enough. I have other meds available to me that I know work, so I stick with them. Maybe I'll give it a try, but it's hard to justify an experiment like that to my boss. He wants results and healthy fish, not experiments on the sales floor.

I saw a a small dying Blue Tang at petco last Friday covered in what looked like ich and other parasites barely swimming almost laying flat on the bottom of the tank and the guy working their told me if I was willing to try to save him he would give it to me for free. I put him in my small 10 gallon QT and Since then I have been using Herbtana daily and soaking flake food in garlic guard . I also do a partial water change daily . He may or may not make it but I can say that after 5 days he is now looking much healthier, swims better more colorful and vibrant and happily attacks the food when I feed him . So Far so good not sure if its the herbtana or not but it does seem to be helping definetly not hurting anything as he was on the brink of death before and now looks like he may have a chance at survival.
