Hectors goby

So I recently picked up a Hectors goby because after a toon of research I thought I was ready for it. But I also just saw someone said they have a hard time in aquariums for a longer period of time like 6 months to a year. Does anyone know why this is.

They often fail to eat.

Are you saying they fail to eat right away or they quit eating after a while

I don't have Hectors goby but I have Court Jester which is similar species. Try to feed live blackworms. Mine is eating it like no tomorrow.

Mine is eating as well but it is only live 1/2 inch so it can’t sift much sand in its mouth.
