Helfrichi firefish question

Hi guys I had a chance to pick up a helfrichi firefish from LFS and just heard that they will not get along with other firefish (purple fire fish). Are they not compatible??

they might get along at first but then one will start to intimidate the other so the other one will not eat and will be left with one from what I understand.

I have one with a red with no issuses.

They are not compatible. When you mix different colored firefish one will eventually die.

nevermind, i think since they are different species they will do fine.

Helfrichi need to be added first if doing multiple firefish. You should also add the helfrichi amount you want at once. Being a deeper water fish they are a lot shyer than other darts, also a little more mean when it comes to tank space. JMO/E
