I really am disheartened atm, my helfrichi literally disappeared. Literally took every piece of rock out to see if I could find a body but found nothing, even stirred the sand but nothing (13.5 gallon fluval evo so wasn't that much of a hassle). Took the filter out, bio balls and everything out of the sump and he wasn't there either. Been looking around the tank and NOTHING, I have a lid so am skeptical that it jumped.

Could the CUC of one mini hermit, saron shrimp and 2 snails really finish his body off over night? Also don't think they could have but maybe I'm wrong

Just SO deflated, I think it's more I don't know what happened to him.

When did you add it to the tank?
Depending on the size of the fish, small fish can and will hide inside one of the holes in the rock, so when you pull the rock out of the water, the fish is still in the rock (but taking your tank apart like you did is not a good idea, that terrorizes and stresses the fish).

3 weeks ago. He comes out every day in the open when the light comes on, hence why I was worried when he didn't yesterday.

Has it been eating? Any other fish in the tank?
Mine was able to easily disappear into the filter in my fluval - take a look in there.
They also are good at finding crevices in the rocks.

Yeah he was eating. He did few times make it into the back sump area where the filter is but I blocked the overflow opening so he couldn't get in anymore. Anyway I checked in the back took out the filter, bioballs, heater and floss, he wasn't there yesterday or today. Yes I did it twice LOL.
