So, it would appear my Helios decided to stop heating the tank this morning, perfect timing of course. As it's actualling getting cool out. Any suggestions on a good replacement with Apex integration. I have a couple of cheapies in the sump in the interm.

After mine stopped heating several times due to it thinking the probe was out of the water I relegated it to heating water change barrels. Then the probe stopped reading altogether and/or the heating element died. I have to find the 2nd heating element it came with to try to eliminate the culprit via trial and error.

In the mean time, I switched back to Fluval E heaters. They have two electronic thermostats and have never failed me in over a decade. You do have to remove the plastic guard though.

I run dual aqua logic controllers, one for each BRS titanium element backed up on apex. I’ve had the Helios system fail on me twice, once putting ac in the sump- threw it in the trash

Add me to the list of Aqualogic users. Thing is a tank that keeps on trucking.
