Hellfire torch vs Dragon Soul torch ID

Hi Folks,

Is this a hellfire or dragon soul torch (one on the sand)? I had heard the difference is:

Dragon Soul - Purple Base, towards Greenish Yellow, Green Tip
Hellfire - Purple Base, towards Deeper Goldish Color, Green Tip

The problem is no one really knows. Scientists will tell you the region and specific genus of the Euphyllia (Euphyllia glabrescens for torches) but will never give you a designer name. No two vendors can agree either on what exactly a dragon soul or hellfire is or should look like. It'll always look different based on lighting, photo editing, what camera took it. IMO you’re better off finding corals that you like and ignoring the names as usually the name is just a way to squeeze more money out of you.

Honestly be careful what you buy and how much. Anyone can slap a name on a coral and jack the prices up. These euphyllia and mushroom bounce corals are great examples in recent yrs.

No expert but looks like dragon soul hellfires are little more vibrant which comes with the little higher price

Dragon Soul Torch should have teal tips, hope that helps!

Pretty much, i think the dragon soul was 20 dollars more (purchased both at two heads) . The good news is the dragon soul split a head and the hellfire is splitting two new heads.
