Okay so i recently brought two bannerfish for my 92 corner. They are about 1 1/2 and 2 inches. For the first day they were peaceful as ever. Not its going on three days now and they are the most aggressive fish in the display tank. Tail slapping and nippin at any fish near by. I have a Niger Trigger 3 1/2 inches, Hippo Tank 3 1/2 inches, Two Banggai Cardinals 1 1/2 inches, Three Designer Clowns From 1 1/2 to 2 1/2 inches, Purple Queen Anthias 1 1/2 imches, Coris Wrasse 1 1/2 Rock, Reef and Hiding places everwhere. What should i do?

I am not much for fish psychology, but it sounds to me like they do not have enough room to be comfortable.

Bannerfish require a good amount of water column to swim around in. It is also my understanding they do not do very well in tanks under 120 gallon. However, it is hard to tell how much water room there is for the fish to swim from the pictures...

Yeah, maybe i made a mistake with these. I hope i can catch them. Should i take them back, take one out and leave one or just wait it out? All the other fish move threw all the open caves in there. I build it a certain way so that my two old morish idols could swim fine until they out grew the tank and i had to give them away. So idk how these can be smaller but still have issues with space. Maybe ur rite tho. I mite just take them back.

Hopefully someone with more experience with this species will see this and post up!

Still, thank u very much man. Foreal. This is like the second bit of info today that seems like it could be accurate.

i think they need more space than corner 92 tank can provide with all the other occupants in the tank

I have one heni and he is the second most aggressive fish in my tank (after my female maroon clown!). They do get big (mine is 8" and still growing) and like to cruise the reef (he's in a 8' 3" long 320g). I'd guess that even at a small size they're feeling a little cramped up with the other fish. The only fish they really don't get on with in my tank is my regal interestingly... are yours showing any more aggression to the regal than any others?

Have you also noticed that they don't 'sleep'? Regardless of the time of day or night, mine can be found cruising up and down the tank.

Yeah, ive noticed that. Its like they are lil vampires. I swear thats what they are. And yes, they show aggression to everything in the tank except my wrasse. The hippo was a target up until yesterday. He faught back and since then it hasnt been so bad. What do u suggest i do being that even small they are terrors. Sorta like the damsels of butterflyfish.

Yeah, very unlike other BFs. Honestly, suggest you move them on... or upgrade! Long term your tank is just too small imo. You may get away with just one short term, but once that's at 8" or bigger, it'll need more space.
