Great looking tank. Is that live rock in it already, or just previously used? If that's live rock, you could be "cycled" in days. Even so, no point in rushing.

Jealous of your easy access to NSW (Natural Sea Water). I think you can expect to have more life in that tank that you got for free than from what you pay for.

Welcome to R@R @Lenny blenny! Unfortunately adding natural sea water won't speed up the process but one thing you should keep in mind is the possibility of parasites and such. You will be very disappointed down the road if you have in ich/velvet outbreak just to name a couple. On that sour note glad you're here! This forum is a great resource! :)

Ah yes I had thought as much, however my LFS here even uses natural sea water, so I will have to quiz him on his filtration. I also had a very successful reefer friend who always used natural sea water, I’ll quiz him too haha so many quizzes. I’m like eddie Maguire, I might have to start a game show
