Hello Guys and Gals,
Friend of mine told me about this site and "Club Zoa" so I decided to check it out. I just downsized to an Edge II (12g) with some mods/changes complete and some others that I'm still working on. I built a DIY LED setup (4-neutral white, 8 Royal Blue, 4 TrueViolet, 2 Turquoise, 1 Deep Red and 3 additional Royal Blue for Accent/Moon Lighting-all from LedGroupBuy) contained inside the stock hood (rotated 90 dgerees) that is controlled by a DIM4 controller. The Neutral White and Royal Blue are on 3up stars with the exotics being on single stars, each with it's own contoller. The Dim4 controls the ramp up/down and also has the 3 Moon Lights running directly off of it. I also have individual trim pots for each string to adjust lighting as needed for acclimation or appearances. Heater, lights, wave maker and Fluval 201 filter are controlled by an ApexJr. I ran my lights through the ApexJr so that they would automatically turn off if the temperature were to rise above my set point. Wireless setup on the Apex is complete so all controlling and monitoring are done through my iPhone. I'm concentrating mainly on zoas/palys this time with a couple LPS (CandyCane and small Favia Frag), Maxi-Mini and my most recent addition of a Crocea/Maxima Hybrid for a little variety. I am trying to finish my DIY/Custom Hood to house my LED's and fan setup. If anyone is thinking of going the Edge, especially Edge II, route PM me before deciding and I will give you a heads up on my expieriences. Believe me I wish I had someone give me this information before I bought mine. They surely have their up sides and down sides.

I plan on taking some more pics when transferring the LED setup into the new hood. Hopefully by this weekend that will be complete but I may have a few decent ones at home. I'll check tonight and post what I have.

A couple quick phone Pics

Just a couple of quick phone pics. The scape is the way it is right now so I can better target feed and have a little better acces to the frags until they grow out and get put in their permanent places. It also lets me have different light/flow so I can see who likes what better for later on during final placement. That's the biggest challenge with the Edge II. It has a sealed top except for an ~8"x7" opening in the back center. That has my external canister plumbing, temp probe, ground cable, heater, wavemaker cords and an airline to help with gas exchange from time to time all running through it. The plus side is salt creep and evaporation are minimal. The scape is a little cooler than the pics show though. There are a few caves and in the back under the filter suction is kinda the "nursery". Extra food comes through and there is some but not too much flow that smaller single polyp frags seem to enjoy. I'm attaching how my LEDs are spaced as someone asked about that the other day. Hopefully I'll het the other hood built this weekend and have more and better pics. And I couldn't leave out my latest family member.
