Hollo everybody. I'm not totally new to salt water tanks, had some a few years ago, but I am new to reef tanks. My wife and I discussed starting one for the couple years, and last August finally took the plunge. A quick look on Craig's List for used tanks, and we were on our way. We ended up starting with a 46 gallon bow front tank, and equipped it with some Ecoxotic LEDs. So far we have had minimal issues, and the tank has settled in very nicely. so far we have some 3 Blue Green Chromis, Percula Clown, Mandarin Fish, Sunburst Anthias, Banggai Cardinalfish, Skunk Cleaner and Fire Shrimp, along with a cocoa worm and some assorted snails and crabs. For coral we have some Xenia, a beige colored Sinularia, a green Fungia, a small green Birdsnest, two pieces of green Montipora (was 1 but I accidentally broke it gluing it in the tank) :squigglemouth:, an Acan, a green tipped Hammer coral, a few mushrooms, and some yellow and purple zoos. All parameters are perfect and I sure hope they stay that way. About the only thing we have had any trouble with so far is some green hair algae, which you can probably see in some of the pics below. Looking forward to participating in the forum.
