Just stopping by to introduce myself. My name is Jason and while I am new here, I am not new to aquariums or forums. I have owned aquariums for all my life. It started as a small kid, my mom was an angel and gourami breeder. I was always around that, and wanted my own aquariums. I eventually started breeding (mostly cichlids) by about age 14 or 15. I cought the saltwater bug in my early 20's or so, and have been doing reef tanks since.
My first tank was a 40 breeder:
That was a lot of fun, but I got bored of that and completely custom designed my own 275 system with built in displayed fuge:
The life slapped me in the face. I became disabled, and also married, and just could no longer keep up with taking care of that system. I eventually got a 30G cube, and that started as fish only, but we all know how long that lasts.
And then a month and a half ago me and my wife decided to move out of our apartment and get a townhouse. Good step overall, but again not so much for aquariums. We started parting out the 30G. Now down to live rock, some CUC, a yellow goby and single clown. And then again I decided I didnt want out of the hobby. We are just going to go smaller. So I am transferring what I have left over into a 10G, and will be making a pretty kicking little nano.
Not sure if I am going to start after the move (This Saturday) or before, but I will be chronicling it as I go.
Thank you all and have a good one!
