Hello Everyone and Happy New Year!
I'm Mike in Leesburg, FL. I moved here in a few months ago from NJ. In the past I have kept many freshwater tanks and my last tank in NJ was a 200g Cichlid tank with Moba Frontosa and various Peacocks. I always had a lot of success with my other tanks but knew Saltwater was more challenging. I have always loved Saltwater but was a little apprehensive in the past. I finally decided to give it a shot after the move and a lot of research on forums such as this one and also after talking to a few people I know that keep them.
I didn't have a lot of space to work with since the tank is in my bedroom, so I went with a BioCube 29. I wanted to have a Reef, as well as some nice fish. So, after the tank was established for a few months and I had a good grip on the chemistry, I began adding some SPS. It was not long before I was hooked and began modifying and upgrading the tank in order to expand what I could keep. I have learned a lot in a short amount of time, however, I know I still have a ton more to go. I'm looking very forward to it and can say I'm already thinking to the future when a larger system is possible.
I currently have a mixture of LPS & SPS etc... along with a Blue Spot Jawfish and an ORA Blue Mandarin. I just recently added a SA Fancy Clown Pair from Alpha Corals. Kris from Alpha is actually the one who referred me to join this site. I will be posting pics, vids, and more details about my tank under the Nano Reef Forum very shortly, as well as additional pics of this awesome Fancy Clown Pair under the Alpha Corals Forum.
