Just wanted to say hi and say thanks for all of the upcoming help I am definitely going to need LOL. I have had lots of freshwater tanks in the past of various sizes but this is only my second attempt at a marine tank first one ended up a disaster cause of a ice storm that knocked power out for 9 days (I now have a whole house generator- lesson learned). This tank is 75 gallon with a Marineland c530 (I know its not a sump but I already own it & can always go to a sump later) , Eshopps hob skimmer & a couple of circulation pumps (total of 2750 gph. I just put it together yesterday with 40 pounds of Ocean direct live sand, 80 pounds of South sea base rock and plan on using quick start bacteria w/ ammonia dosing to get it cycled quicker. Thanks again and I will be on quite often!

Looking good so far. Me personally like the look of islands with the rock but still looks good. What all are you planning on doing with the tank?

Don't have to much of a plan except to keep the fish count down and throw in a couple of soft corals for right now.

Looking good so far! Remember two thing and you will do great! 1) slow is almost always better than fast in our hobby and 2) Ask all the questions you can think of! Its better to ask 1000 questions and have a great tank then to ask none and have a difficult tank

Welcome to R2R;)

Great tank! I'm am also in the process of setting up a saltwater reef tank. My system runs on a MarineLand C160 canisters similar to yours! Check on my build thread and be sure to ask questions if needed!
