Hello all,
My name is Aaron and I have been a lurker for awhile now and just realized that I had already registered an account that I completely forgot about. So thought I would take the time to introduce myself and say hello. I'm fairly new to the hobby tho my mom has been in the hobby for a few years so I have been around it for awhile. She actually is an office manager at an elementary school here in Vegas and they have a saltwater aquarium so that's how she got into the hobby.
I would always stop by to visit my parents on Sundays and while there I would lend a hand with her water changes. I was always interested in it but with my other hobbies being motorcycles and my rc planes and quadcopters I really didn't need another hobby that would most likely end up being just as expensive. Up until last summer when a friend was getting rid of his 80 gallon aquarium so figured the time was right to jump in. I really did not want a tank of this size but figured I would get it and help a friend out and if I changed my mind I could donate it or something.
Well I ended up setting it up and I am happy to say I have not killed anything yet. Few months after is when I stumbled onto this forum and I've just been reading up on things and trying to educate myself as much as possible ever since. The wealth of knowledge on this forum is absolutely mind blowing and I hope that eventually I can contribute in the same way. Everybody seems so friendly in this hobby and on here so I am happy to finally be apart of it.
Anyways, I just thought I would introduce myself and say hello.
(I apologize for the lengthy introduction)
