I'm new here on this site. I figured i might aswell cut out the middle man (google) and create an account. I currently have a 46 bf reef lps softie tank which im slowly transferring everything over to my 72 bf. Also have a 125G Duboisi (African Cichlid) mated colony, I'm sure down the road that tank will become my reef. I was wondering if anybody here would be apposed to acclimating a mimic tang to the 72 bf. I know, he'll eventually outgrow and thankfully ill have that 125G ready to roll. Thoughts anyone?

Welcome to R2R!! I’m personally not a fan of getting a fish that will out grown tank with plans of an upgrade. Things happen and plans change. I would personally rather wait until I have a suitable home for the fish.

Not familiar with mimic tangs, so hopefully another member will be able to answer your question :)

Thank you!
Honestly, the only thing I've ever done is 10% water changes weekly.
Very seldom do i check my parameters.
By no means am i encouraging to not check them tho.
What works for me may not work for others.

There is a lot of truth in your comments. What works for one person doesn't always work for the next. But in my case, I can't even tell you when the last time I check my parameters. :p
