I'm not so new to marines or fishkeeping but the hobby has taken a back seat for a while.

I have a 160l FOWLR which has been running for five years - damsels only and the last one has just passed after seven years. Just a load of old LR, and a pretty big Aptasia in there. However, I'm also more or less there with a triangular Fluval Venezia that I've sumped and it's running now. That's about 230l in total - QT maybe.

I'm really here to see what the current ways of thinking are because I believe I can always do better!

Welcome to R2R!!! This is a great place for information and there is also a really neat reefing community here!

welcome to R2R!!! that FOWLR sounds pretty nice, sorry to hear about the recent loss of the damsel.

Make sure to post up some pictures of the tank!
I will do - BTW I think the last rollands damsel succumbed to a bacterial infection even though absolutely no LR or livestock had been added for a several years.
