Just stopping in to say hi. We are currently converting from freshwater to reef tanks. We currently have a 120 discus tank, 20 gallon fresh community, 3 tree frogs, and a terrestrial hermit crab tank. Our middle son has some medical complexities and impaired vision. I try to design all of our tanks to be low vision accessible.

Great idea! I’m trying to find a store or mover than can help move the tank here. But once it’s here I will definitely do a build post. I am planning to have mainly softies and focus on large swaths of color. My sons neuro-ophthalmologist and I have been discussing color/light/therapeutic aspects and she is going to follow and see how the tank does for sensory input and eye focus.Welcome! Glad you joined. With your discus experience, you'll find FOWLR to be similar but reef I found corals and their water parameter needs to be more challenging. I've scaled back my coral desires for now to better meet my available time for testing & cleaning.
Have you considered starting your build thread? I found its a great place to document my tank's evolution for myself. I started tank first then joined, so I'm still finding myself going back collecting pictures & updating historically as well as current state. Once you create your first post in your thread and link it to your account, they will give you build badge (look left, under my ID)
This is a good reference book type online article I still review:
