Hello everyone. Wanted to drop my introduction before I start asking questions. I've been lurking a while but I'm at a place where I want to ask some advice. But first!..

I had reef tanks about 10 years ago. Never had no great luck tho. In the 10 years away I've gained some patience and hopefully some wisdom. Now I'm back and have a 30 by 30 by 21 cube. I want to keep sticks. I have a few that are doing well but I probly should've waited. Lol. (There goes my patience.)

I'm an auto tech by trade.. have some certificates that says I'm a Master with Advanced level experience and knowledge. (ASE Master with L1) I've been in that profession 23 years.

My username comes from my general outlook.. it always seems that the current issues in my life are "BigIssues." However understanding myself and trying to maintain my cool and take things a step at the time is my goal.

Thanks for reading.

Hi and welcome to r2r
The most rewarding part of reefing requires patience
Keeping sps ( sticks ) also named acropora can be challenging for an immature and unstable system but it’s not impossible .
Best of luck and welcome back .
If you have any questions feel free to ask . We’re all here to help you succeed

Welcome and welcome back to the hobby! Glad you joined. Yes patience IS the magic, but magic can be hard to catch/use some days! I empathize lol.

Have you considered starting your build thread? I found its a great place to document my tank's evolution for myself. I started tank first then joined, so I'm still finding myself going back collecting pictures & updating historically as well as current state. Once you create your first post in your thread and link it to your account, they will give you build badge (look left, under my ID)

This might help you find people local to you in Mississippi:

This is a good reference book type online article I still review:

Patience is key but patience is hard especially at first. I totally understand. I wish you great success with your system.
