Up and running. Level flow both sides. Just used cedar shims. Can hardly see it against the hardwood.
No leaks!!!! Had to torque a couple of threaded connections but all good now.
Let it cycle for a few days and make sure all is good. Then get the salt to it.
Thanks for the help folks. Will keep ya updated.

A level tank and stand is not important . . . . . BUT CRITICAL. Assure it is totally level

Hey all.
So another question. I let the tank run for a week after salt was added and clear up. Added my own dry rock that I have for 20 years in a tote. 6 days ago added 50 lbs live rock.

I completed ammonia/nitrite/pH tests last night.
Ammonia 0, Nitrite 0, and pH between 7 and 7.5.
My question is this.
I believe I have a diatom bloom happening (pics below)
Which I understand is normal. However I would expect this towards the end of the cycle if what I have read is correct?
As it’s only been 6 days since the live rock was added and my chem #’s haven’t gone up and then down is this still normal.
And you can see from the pics the O2 is really starting to release from the process.
So your thoughts????

Dose to 2ppm ammonia. If it drops to 0 in 24 hours you're done

It’s been a while but 6 days for a 200 g tank seems pretty fast.
If that’s the case it’s fantastic.
As I side note I can’t add ammonia unless my test kit vials are OK for addition as well???
My apologies if that’s a stupid question

No coral in there yet right? No need to even run the lights while cycling. Will keep the algae down

Have a nitrate reading?

0 yesterday. Didn’t even register. Clear in the tube basically.

Welcome. Nice tank and I like the rock work
