Hi I have a few colonies of pulsing Xenia and I keep seeing the odd head floating around on close inspection I noticed brown stuff on them I just need to know what it is is it bad do I need to remove them etc thank you

They sort of look like flatworms. Are you able to blow them off with a turkey baster?

They reduce the amount of light available to your corals. When they are alive they can grow and spread rapidly. They are not toxic until you kill them in your tank, I believe.
