Greetings, fellow aquatic enthusiasts. My name's Fabio and I'm starting my first journey into the world of saltwater. I have minimal experience with freshwater. Just a 20 gallon kit with a figure 8 puffer, a silver molly and a red dwarf platy. I recently got the itch to be able to keep a lil bit of paradise in my home, and decided to buy a reef ready 75g Deep blue Professional tank and decided to build my own stand. (I tried to upload pictures of the stand and tank but was unable to) I picked up a Corallife Super Skimmer 125 and was wondering if that is good enough for the tank and a 30 or 40 gallon sump/refugium. I have a veritable plethora of questions, but I'll save those for other posts. Thank you.

In terms of the protein skimmer, I would stay away from the Coralife brand. I had one and after 3 months, it started going haywire for no apparent reason. I wish I would've saved that money and gotten something else. My point is that the skimmer is one of those upgrades that you don't want to cut corners with because it can get expensive replacing cheap skimmers, just my view.
