Hi all,
I have had a reef tank in the past, but have been out of the hobby for around 7-8 years now. My past salt tanks were a 150 fowlr and a 37 reef.
I just recently purchased a sea clear 50 gal acrylic tank to get back into saltwater and later on a reef.
I am excited to learn from all of you and gain valuable knowledge about all the new technology since my last tank.
If anyone has suggestions on filtration and led lights for my new tank, send them my way!
Tank is 36" long x 15 deep x 20 tall. With a 2"x15 opening on the back for filtration.
I have been looking at the remora skimmer and maybe a Hagen aquaclear 70 hob. Not sure as far as lighting, but have been looking into the current USA orbit marine led set up.
I plan to start out with just a few fish and cleanup crew and add coral down the road.
Since it has been awhile for me any advice filtration and what equipment you use would be very helpful. I think I had a magnum canister filter on my last reef, but seems that most don't use them in salt, especially a reef.
