Just getting started. Probably went all in as a beginner to start. but that is how it went.
my son got us a 55 gal tank fromPetco and we started blind. got water going SG up to par and cured our rock for a couple weeks. we decided to go to OCD Reefs in SLC and learn a little. well we decided we were doing quit a few things wrong end result we left the store with a bunch of knowledge and a New Red Sea Reefer 350 tank and sump. 2 AI hydrogen 26 lights, some rock and sand. 2 vor-tech mp40 wave makers, Eshopps x-220 protein skimmer and then a ventra m1 return pump. well and then we needed water so we got R/O unit so we didn't have to travel to get water.
we have been 2 days waiting on enough water. tank is almost full and then the sump next. were getting close to getting up and running. and then the slow process of building a reef. cant wait
