Hello everyone!

It is great to finally be posting on this forum. This forum and listening to experts on different platforms has really taught me how little I understand about this hobby.

I have been keeping fish for about 25 years, but it has been all saltwater in the last ten years. Smaller tanks lately while I set up my basement. My wife gave me the go-ahead to have free reign in the basement, so I have created the entire basement around two display aquariums plumbed together. Nothing to some of the reefers out there. (Jealous I don't have the space)

I have a 360 in wall build facing my office and a 240 gallon in cabinet build in the living room. Work not quite completed on everything but it is getting there. Tanks are currently plumbed into 120 Bashsea sump, 120 gallon grow out tank, and custom Lifereef skimmer. WIll be adding three 40 gallon breeders for refugiums, etc and two 60 gallon frag tanks as well.

This weekend I will be finishing the water change system (Two 105 gallon Norwesco tanks) and hopefully the aquascape. Water will start being made immediately as well for when the scape gets in.

Currently have five fish in quarantine received two days ago and following humblefish's quarantine procedure.

A thunder maroon 1.75"
gold striped maroon 1.25"
flurry clownfish 1.25
premium black snowflake clownfish 1.25
orchid dottyback.

Plan is to have tanks cycled in and ready for when these fish are through their quarantine procedure. I know the maroons are 50/50 and will be trying to pair them during quarantine and beyond if needed. So far, I have yet to even need to separate them, but have a acclimation box already in tank ready to go if needed. If it comes down to it, one of them will go into a frag tank. These will go into 360 aggressive tank, while the others are going in the 240 mixed reef. I try not to buy anything that will ever outgrow or have little chance of success in my tanks. That being said, I am prone to mistakes and expect a few going into a system this size. Any early advice is more than welcome.

I won't make this any more long-winded than it has been. Thank you everyone for allowing me to be part of such a great community and for sharing your knowledge!

Alex
