I had a 40-gallon reef and a 100-gallon reef tank back in the 1990's and freshwater tanks back in the 1970's/1980's. I just got back into reef-keeping within the last year. I have been reading Reef2reef threads for years. Thank you for the cordial welcome.

Hello and welcome to R2R! Reefing in the 90s were the good ol' days! ASM G2 skimmer with the Sedra pumps!! Those were a beast of a skimmer! An abundance of T5 HO options!! $30-$50 for 3-5" coral colony!! Aaaaaaaand, BOOM! back to 2022! I'm depressed now. :beaming-face-with-smiling-eyes:

Welcome and welcome back to hobby this past year! Glad you joined.

Have you considered starting your build thread? I found its a great place to document my tank's evolution for myself. I started tank first then joined, so I'm still finding myself going back collecting pictures & updating historically as well as current state. Once you create your first post in your thread and link it to your account, they will give you build badge (look left, under my ID)

This might help you find people local to you in Charlotte:

This is a good reference book type online article I still review:
