Well my name is Manuel and i am also new to the saltwater hoppy. Been in fresh for some time and feel its time to step up my game and tackle a saltwater tank now. For the tank i have chosen is a standard US 135gallon tank with dimensions of 72x18x24 its for sure alot bigger than any tank i have had before thats for sure. The stand is made of pine and its dimensions are 72x18x30. I ordered a taller stand so that i would have the option to put in a sump if id want some time in the future. For not i will have my QT tank down there so it will be "Out Of Sight". I have been researching, reading, Talking and gathering any information i can on how to start up a SW tank and well last month i bought what i was told i needed for the type of setup im after wich is a FOWLR tank Fish Only With Live Rock. I decided this cause i wanted to keep the more aggressive and impressive fish that you cant have in a reef setup. My equipment as of now is a Coral Life 220g Super Skimmer, Fluval FX Canister, Two 1400gph Koralia Power Heads, One 300watt Cascade Heater, Two 36" Ecko T5 HO light fixtures with 40 watt Actinics & 40 watt 10,000Ks white & 12 LED moonglows, , ,,,, 100lbs of fine crushed coral, Refracometer, Hydrometer, Digital Temp Gauge, & a API Master SW Test Kit. Now mind you this is just the start up stuff i will probably upgrade my equipment as i progress down this marine sand bed of a hobby cause who knows what lies ahead under this contained clear sea lol.
