Hey everyone, my name is anthony and I have been involved with this hobby for about there months now. My first aquarium is a 25 gallon, I guess you would call it a marine aquarium with live rock. I started that project in july and haven't looked back since. I started the tank as a simple decoration but the more I submerged (ha) in this hobby the more I love it. my first purchase was a coral banded shrimp, a cleaner and some massasoit snails. I now have my two starter fish, a damsel and some other fish the guy at the pet store told me to use as a starter. I call him little blue. I have recently purchased a 55gallon aquarium for my next project. I plan on going the whole nine yards when it comes to having an actual reef tank with corals.
This hobby has been a lifesaver for me. In august of 2011 I had two friends who were killed in a car accident and it affected me greatly. I was having terrible anxiety attacks and it made my day to day life miserable. After taking up this hobby I realized caging for these animals and watching them really calmed me. It has been about two months since I had an attack and I'm so happy. I have so much fun creating a world and watching these animals explore it. I have learned so much and have much more to learn. Thanks for reading my story and I can't wait to become a part of this community.
