Hello all!

I have been a reef junkie for about two years now and have always used R2R as my go-to place for information. I figured that it was about time to actually participate in this great and friendly community.

My quick story...

About two years ago in July, my wife and I woke up and she causually mentioned that I should take my then 2 year old daughter to the pet store and get a fish. I thought it would be a fun bonding moment and agreed to take her to the pet store. Near a local convenience store we frequent, I remembered a storefront with the word "Aquarium" spelled out in front and thought I would take her there, as we had never been. "What a great place to start off" I remember saying to myself, but little did I realize that things were about to change.... drastically.

I remember walking in and at the very front of the store was a large 500 gallon saltwater tank that was stocked full of fish and coral. The more I spoke with the employees, the more excited I became and ended up bringing in the wife later that night to show her. I don't remember much that was said between my wife and I, but I do remember her turning to me a one point and saying.... "here we go.... this one is gong to be expensive... now get what you want". And so it began........

We started out with a little 14 gallon nano tank by Innovative Marine. We put it in the kids room and stocked it with 2 ocellaris clownfish and various coral. After a year's exploration of celebrations and sadness through the learning process of this hobby, I was finding out that my interest in coral soon outgrew the kid's tank. You can see where this is going......

Year number 1, almost to the day (July)... An Upgrade was in order!!!!!! Now I have a 210 marineland tank with a 60 gallon sump plumbed into a 20 frag tank. I love this hobby!!!!!!!

I will be writing up a build history on this tank a little later with all the details. Looking forward to "meeting" everyone and help where I can!

Welcome :-) Awesome lead in, great looking tank. Remember to give us all the gory details such as lighting.......

Welcome Booker, had the same experience you had takeing my son to pick up nemos from the store. The excitement on their face is priceless.
