Hello reef community, happy to join this forum. I've got lots of reading to do to answer question for my new tank. It has been running for 6 weeks now and i have lots of questions... Of to reading this great forum !!!

Welcome to R2R

I'm doomed then... That is why i need to educate myself on this hobby. Thanks

Doomed why? You don't have any patience? You'll learn :)

What size tank do you have? What equipment are you using? Do you have any tank pics?

I am already learning about that patience thing...

I have 55 gallon tank with fluval204 and another hanging filter. 48 inch T5ho 54w lighting. 20lbs of rock on my way to 40 - 45 lbs. Waiting for my new powerhead. Still battling algae due to cycling and my soft corals need something because they are " melting" hope the pics are clear.

I would not be adding corals until the tank is cycled. Cool looking wall tank tho

Yeah.... Learning curve.... Hope they will revive at some point!

Welcome to R2R julz24,

When first starting a reef aquarium, as stated above, patience is key. Since the tank has only been up for 6 weeks it may have not finished cycling properly. Are you testing for ammonia, nitrites, and nitrates? If so, please respond back with the results.

I have tested it. A few days ago with a testing strip, nitrates ph, ammonia not sure about nitrites, all where good. Sorry for the newbie term but it was a 4-5color strip ( yellow blue red ...) I have not bought a testing kit, yet, has i am going to test the water like a freak.... According to my lfs i am doing everything to succeed except adding them to early.

Test strips arnt to accurate so I would recommend getting a kit asap
