Hello from AK!!!

Greetings!

Just starting up a saltwater tank after a few years of with freshwater tanks (cichlids in one and trout/shark like in the other).

We have an awesome LFS here who have been a TON of help with the transition. Currently working a 60 gallon tank that we've had going for about 2 weeks now. Started with live sand and live rock (about 30lbs of live rock now) and just started with some hermits and snails. They also gave me a mushroom today (did I say they were an awesome LFS?) to add in.

I'm looking at geeking out a bit and building my own aquarium controller (I love getting into the fine details of things)...that is if I can get time to work on something like that

Welcome to R2R !! Saltwater tanks are more challenging than freshwater ones but they are worth the effort!
Is it harder to keep warm tanks in colder regions like Alaska? I am curious...
