Hello,

My name is Chris. I was just gifted a 135 gallon Oceanic reef tank from my F-I-L who no longer has the time or interest to keep it going. He just bought a new house so I have to figure out how to move it from the third floor of his condo to my house which thankfully is really not to far away.

Its a little long in the tooth, equipment is older but everything is functioning. Tank also has a serious case of bubble and other algae. I have had aquariums (all freshwater) off and on for over 30 years but never salt so I'm looking forward to learning as much as I can.

Regards,
Chris

Welcome to R2R! You can to the right spot to learn how to keep and maintain a saltwater tank! Be sure to reach out if you have any questions or concerns! We don't bite, well most of us don't at least :D

p-a and David,

Thanks for the welcome. So much to learn but I am really excited about it.
It can seem daunting at first but you'll have the hang of it in no time!

Welcome to R@R Chris. Oceanic is a great tank in any size and I look forward to your build

Thanks to all for the warm welcome and the advice. The plan is to begin the move a week from today and hopefully have the setup at my house "complete" on Saturday. Attached is an awful photo of the current setup/location.
