Well hello. My name is Joe and I'm 31 from Canada. I have a beautiful wife and a wonderful daughter and son (6 and 3). I have been keeping freshwater fish in aquaria since I was a little boy. I have kept many species including cichlids and killifish which are my favourite. I have always wanted to do a full reef tank but he cost kept me away. Long sorry short God has blessed our family with a great career this year and my wife asked me what I wanted for Christmas and I said a saltwater tank. She said it would be a great idea and the kids always want a nemo fish anyways lol (don't they all). So I have a Red Sea Max 130d arriving in a week and can't wait to get going. I have been on many forums mostly lurking but this one drew me in as it seems there is alot of activity, a community feel and cool prize giveaways. Ill keep you all updated as the tank arrives and will be asking alot of questions.

Joe

Welcome Joe from Canada!!! I was reading (aka lurking) on all the reef forums out there and found this one to be the most comfortable. The people seem really great on this site and very welcome to share information. Have fun setting up your reef.

Welcome aboard!
What are your goals for this tank?

Thanks skins I have entered for the nice shelf. It's a beautiful piece.

Dana: my plans for this tank are 1 or 2 ocellaris clowns. 1 cardinal fish either pj or banggai but not sure which. I would also like a purple fish but not sure what would be compatible and maybe a goby. For inverts a cleaner shrimp some snails and a few hermits. And for corals I am thinking mainly zoas, shrooms leathers and some frogspawn. Possibly some other corals pulsing Xenia. Any suggestions for fish would be appreciated along with some good beginner sps to add once the time comes

Hello and welcome to R2R! Can't wait to see the progression on your new tank. You must be eagerly awaiting for it to come. Love that you've had killifish and cichlids. Also two of my favorite freshwater fish.
