Hello, from central Alabama?

Welcome to R2R and back to the salty world.

Hello, I'm new to Reef2Reef but I'm not brand new to the hobby. I grew up with a 55-gallon freshwater tank in the house and that's where I learned to love fish keeping. We eventually converted the tank to saltwater, which was a whole different ball game. I got my first 20-gallon saltwater fish tank at 12 years old and after about a year of learning how to keep saltwater aquariums, we moved from the east coast of Florida to central Alabama. After we moved I waited a while to set it up again but now I've been back in the hobby for a little over a year and a half. I currently have a 20-gallon saltwater tank, a 10-gallon reef tank, a 5-gallon freshwater tank, and I am soon going to be setting up a 15-gallon reef tank. I am a teen hobbyist and after learning my way around fish I have decided that once I leave high school I want to pursue a career in marine biology. Thank you all for having me here!
Edit: Pardon the question mark at the title of my post, I didn't double check it before I posted. :face-with-tears-of-joy:
Welcome! And that's exciting about your career choice!

I'd love to see some pictures of your set ups!

I tell ya, you are gonna be SCARY GOOD at this when you're older! My first serious attempt was in my mid 40s. I bet you will have an in-wall 800g tank by the time you're in your 30s! Anyway, great to have you here! Welcome to our home away from home!

Hello and Welcome to R2R! I had a friends daughter, who is a marine biologist, visit at my house and all the questions she had. I couldn't answer some of them. I try to keep the system as simple as possible and change water every two weeks. Having a 180g I feel that the system maintains itself with the husbandry that I perform. I haven't checked levels in the tank for over 2 years
